Has anyone ever created their own light mount system for a roof rack? Maybe not, give a suggestion on how i can accomplish this. Thanks.

I had a Yakima rack modified to fit. Just brought it in to a welding shop and told them I wanted tabs welded on. There are a few pictures of the rack, and one close up picture at http://www.snowboarderguide.com/x

also, you can use cb antenna mounts to clamp on hte lights to the factory rack.....

I was thinking about getting some large L-bolt brackets, and just bolting one side to the rack, and leaving one side for the light. I have a conferr roof rack. That seems like it might work, but the metal has to be pretty thick to hold the light.

I just used the conferr light mounts on my conferr roof rack. Before that, I just drilled holes in the stock cross-bar of the luggage rack.

I picked this one up from a friend , had to drill through the roof and run some braces but here it is.

I looked at some of those conferr roof rack light mounts, and it looks like they attach on the top and bottom of the rack, and the light hole is in the middle between where the two attachtments are. Is that correct?
