Dame in distress. Transmission trouble.

ok i have problem, when my truck is cold i can shift into over drive , drive reverse , fist and second no problem , the min i take it out drive around when it gets hot i then have an issue and it wont shift , it starts to slip and wind as if it was in neutral , my fluid is red and no debris or it does have any burn smell and it is full , this all started when i got my transmission flushed and changed , they used dexro 3 atf as per what my receipt says , now could the transmission fluid be wrong and if so can i correct this or is my transmission pooched , please help any suggestion as i use my truck for my job and im losing money as it sits

year and model helps, how long since the tran oil change and who did it, how many miles on the truck 2 wheel or 4 wheel.
 












If they used Dexron that's the wrong fluid. They should have used Mercon. However most fluids now are Dexron and Mercon approved. However if they used straight Dexron take it back and demand they change it to Mercon. And self respecting transmission shop should know this. If they really did make this mistake get it corrected by them for free and never go back to them.
 






she states dexro 3... sounds to me like they used the dexron/mercon 3 stuff.

verify what ATF they used. If it was straight Dexron, that's wrong. Take it back ASAP. If it was the Dexron/Mercon 3 (the combination stuff), that would be the right stuff.
