I'm going to look at a couple of D70 free float axles. My question is this. If they're for dual wheels does this create a problem to modify for one wheel? I see that there are Co's that make disc brake kits for D70s.
And the other question, are dual wheel axles longer in width?

Thanks for that link. I just looked at my 3rd D70 today and their all owned by the same guy. Two are setting out in the weather and are the 70 U series. The 3rd was still under a E350 cargo van. I'm finding out real quick that there is just so many type of 70s.
But I like the fact that the casing is nodular iron which is better then the 14 bolt which is cast iron and is rated at a higher torque load.
I took a lot of measurements and compiling all info I can find.
Not sure if I'll go this route yet with the 70 but it sure is a beey axle. I even noticed that the axle flange is larger then the 60 among other things.
