I killed my IAC with brakeleen cuz im a retard. Is there any danger to driving without it for a while?

Also my idle is screwy, it is anywhere from 500 rpm to 2000 and it is constantly surging like the AC is on, would the IAC cause this?

I am getting a CEL, i will pull the codes this week

I would say if it all started when the IAC went bad, then yes, it's probably causing all of that.

Replace it asap, you dont' want anything else going bad.

Its called an idle air control valve for a reason...;)

You probably won't do any more damage in the short term but it will be hell for your gas mileage and engine performance (like you've already noticed)

A bad TPS could also cause a bouncing idle.. but the IAC goes bad more often than a TPS..
