Dash boards? gen3

Anyone know if the dash in a sport model is the same as a 'regular' (4dr) Ex? I have an '03, and want to get a dash cover/mat.

The '01+ Sport is modeled after the Generation 2 Explorers (I have several dash parts off of an '02 Sport on my '00 Sport). My guess is that the dash on your Ex is completely different (assuming you have a 4 door, I've never heard of a "Sport XLT" before. Sport has always been a 2 door, XLT has always been a 4 door).

I think that you could buy one for a 2001 4 door explorer and it would fit fine. One from a 2002+ 4 door probably won't fit because of the redesign.

Yes, it is a 2dr, XLT. It seems that I have a 'mix' of NBX, XLT, and XLS options. Cloth seats (Non-pwr.) everything else pwr. but also nerf bars, puddle lts. Alloys, trlr. pkg, premium stereo, fogs, White w/gray cladding etc. I've heard of some other 'non-standard' Ex's as well. I know the previous owner 'custom ordered' it. Kinda wierd, altho' I got it from a dealership, he lives less than a mile from me.....I know I LOVE IT!

There was an Sport XLT(2-door) and an XLT Sport(4- door) Just a little info How reversing words can change soo much.
