hey. im a newb so excuse me if i sound it. ive got a 98 sport that has some dents in it from a while back when we were ran off the road so to speak and on the drivers side of the quarter panel there are dents from hitting a sign. most are around the fender flare and there is a part right by the door where the metal has like bunched or squished together and we've tried to beat it back but it wont barely budge. i can get pictures if need be and sorry if the description is not good but once again i am a newb. any suggestions or fixes and money is a factor.

once the metal has crumpled you don't have a whole lot of choice besides replacing it.

i was afraid of that. would it hurt too bad just to leave it?

If you don't have water or air leaks, you should be ok. Rain is obviously bad, but air is bad too- if you're idling, you could let carbon monoxide into your truck if the wind is correct.

Pics would probably help a bit...

im pretty positive there are no leaks like that. i was mainly lookin to fix it for looks. pretty sure if i just get a replacement fender flare it'll satisfy me. i'll try and get some pics up as soon as possible tho

pics would be great.
The pannel might not need to be replaced depending on the extent of the damage. Post a pic and I might be able to walk you through a repair. There are a number of different techniques to getting the metal to move.
