Detailers...lets see some pics

Matt, you can come detail my X any day :) you live pretty close

Lets see more pictures of your X after you cleaned it! Whether it be with cheap stuff or the good stuff

Here is mine.....stripped all the wax with dawn soap, then followed by 2 coats of swirl remover and 2 coats of Meguiars wax. This summer I'll be getting either Zaino or Klasse products.

Chucky D I believe had a good thread a long time ago on his X after it was detailed...It looked super clean....:)

I wanna get the PC!! My b-day is in July so I still have plenty of time convincing either my girlfriend or my parents to get one.

I spent all my spring break detailing my car. Here's a pic and a link to where I posted the rest of the pics:

Well, I was in the market for a new buffer and figured I would go ahead and go all out and get one of, if not the best one I could get. I found the Makita 9227 at my neighbor's store for 185 out the door which was the best deal that I have ever heard of. I compounded, polished and then waxed my car last week and it looked awesome. I have not driven it since then but it did get rained on this last weekend so I will get some pics of it when I wash it tommorow.

Today, I did get to do one of my dream cars though, needless to say it was very awesome, and best of all I got to drive it.

Hey Patrick, you need to do my truck for me!

Bring it on Josh, actually when I saw that pic of the Tellico Tested sticker your truck looked pretty darn clean from what I could see.

Not an Explorer, but this is a car I did over the weekend. Polished with Einszett Paint Polish, glazed with ClearKote's Vanilla Moose and sealed with Poorboy's EX. You can see how good the new EX looks on black.

I just wanta get it buffed really good. I got alot of scratches you know.

Well I have a lakehouse on the Ga. side of Hartwell off the Dad's BP exit on I-85 and I know that you are close to there so maybe I could come up one day and we could meet at the house and knock it out. I am gonna be up there a lot this summer and would be more than happy to make it look like new again, luckily it is silver and will be pretty darn easy to get the minor stuff out.

Any of you guys heard of gliptone? I bought some from the dealer at a carshow and plan on doing it tomorrow. It's a paste wax. I've never waxed my truck so I know it needs it.

I have never heard of it, I would try a small section of your truck to make sure you like it.

The guy I bought it from said it's not sold in stores and he has contracts with most of the car dealerships in the area. He said it will make water bead up for 6 months.

Is it expensive?...because most car dealerships use some cheap stuff that will work only long enough to get it off the lot. I just know that sometimes people sell that stuff and it is total crap or get a yellow tint to it and it really starts to look HORRIBLE, but this could be some awesome stuff.

It was $15 for a canister of the paste wax and $7 for a bottle of the spray wax. He said to give it a base coat of the paste wax and then use the spray wax now and then to keep it super shiny.

I am not a professional detailer (although for the right price, I *will* do yours). These are pics of my mom's '03 Legacy Special Edition that I just did today. Dawn, clay bar, scratch and swirl remover (Turtle Wax), and Meguiar's Mirror Glaze paste. Also tire dressing, cleaned the engine (should have opened hood... oh well), and all door jams, trunk jams, etc.

Clayed, 3M SMR done with PC. Klasse AIO, and only 1 coat of Klasse SG. Switched from Zaino and really glad I did. The paint actually takes on depth which I like.
