that u can interchange a/c compressors from all 4.0 explorers? just found that out... i now have a compressor of a 96 xlt and it works great.....and didnt cost me anything

It's the exact same drivetrain, so why not? Should be able to use one from any OHV Explorer, and possibly one from any Explorer, as long as you have the right mounting brackets and pulley.
