Disable LED Signature Lights

So I have a 2016 XLT... I was wondering if there was a way to disable the signature LED lighting strip and enable the turn signals as the parking lights ( like on the PIU). Ive tried a few things on forescan but no luck. Any ideas if it can be done??
Your thread was merged with this existing one found with the 'Search' feature. If you do a 'Search' on 'Signature Lights' in the Forscan thread linked in post #67 you will find 21 posts that contain that phrase. As far as I know/recall, the only way is to install a switch.

Another member and I tried a long time ago to get the Police light setup on the civilian models. Neither of us could get it figured out. We found that the PIUs have a HCM module that doesn't make it into most North American vehicles (save for base and PIU), and we can't get the BCM ABD to support the parking lights/no signature lights either.

That’s depressing :/

I haven't seen an option in Forscan for an HCM on either of my 16 or 17 PIUs.

I just want to add that for some odd reason on my Canadian model MY2016 EX Sport, disabling DRL and setting the light to "auto", it completely disables both signature lighting and lowbeams during the day.

Hmm, that's interesting--I ran a few PIU vins and saw them in the ABD output each time.

The only HCMs I am familiar with are for HID lighting. Was the module address 734 or 7C3?

Looks like it may be on PIUs with headlamp prep pack, not sure why it would be on non-PIUs. Neither of mine have the headlamp prep pack.

Did you resolve this issue? On Auto Position the lights are always on, no matter if day or night. I have aftermarked DRL so I do not need the light always on.
But I do not have a solution for the Auto-Position yet.

I haven't had a chance to look into this any further, as I'm content with leaving it on auto (no lights whatsoever during the day).

No DRL?

Finally went and had the signature lights on my 17 Sport switched. I believe it was just a matter of the power wire and a relay. Best 250 dollars spent, I park the truck, flip the switch signature lights shut off, and if I leave the switch off while driving no running lights either which is pretty cool. When I flip the the switch off all back to stock with signature and running lights.

Anyone able to figure out a solution to no signatures after forscan disabling on auto? I want the signatures on all the time but the changes turned them off when the dial is in the auto position.

If anyone wants to turn strips off permanently, my base has none whatsoever. I'd be happy to do a straight swap :D.

I swapped my headlights with the police prep so they are still gloss black with no signatures. The only issue is the signatures act as the “parking lights” where the base/PIU Use the Amber turns instead. And that’s hardwired. There’s no programming to it. My dealer didn’t want to inspect my vehicle because technically it has no parking lamps now but they let me go this time.

So Im new here. Ive been reading on the signature lights and I need to get them turned off. Does anyone have a "how to" for gettng this done. Dealer has tried and now says it cant be done but not much faith in the dealers abilities. Thanks very much.
