Disable Texts Messages

Hi-- curious if anyone has found a way to disable text messages being delivered through the Sync system. The car gets cluttered with txts and when I am listening to music it interrupts the song. Is there a way to just turn off the txt message functionality?

Hi, Cattlecar,

Did your phone have you accept messaging access? If so, you can delete your phone from MyFord Touch and SYNC from your phone. When you pair it again, deny the access to messaging. This will make it so you don't receive any texts. Some phones have a separate option in the Bluetooth settings to allow text messaging via Bluetooth, so you can check there as well. If all else fails, you can turn the notifications to Silent on MFT. Here's how to do that:

Are you talking about the voice prompts ?

You can always take it off of "Text to speech"
