DIY How to install a Remote Start Alarm Keyless entry System on a Explorer 1992

I haven't yet but you need a relay and four high amp diodes or four relays.im going with the diodes because im going to hook up it up so it rolls them up when you arm and use the auxiliary output to roll them down so I got to go get 8 high amp diodes.I will getting them sometime next week and ill post what wire and what to use.unless someone else come up with a different way,any thoughts?

did you do the windows?

I installed a window control module (aftermarket of course) in my dad;s 2000 Silverado, back in 2000. Don't know if you can still buy them or not. It was pretty easy, it used a positive pulse to activate it and sensed amperage so when the window got to the top or down all the way it would shut off.

You guys going to have to watch your windows and hold the button down to roll them up or down? It's just reverse polarity in the old explorers I would think.

Not yet. Before I get started today. Few things I have two accessory wires same dam color. Also my rec/lt blue's test the same. :( Were would the secondary starter wire be ? Did not see it in the pics as mentioned.

Oh yea I have a hood light however how the hell does it turn on and off ? Cant find a switch unless its built into the hinge somehow. Ill test it to see if it even works. lol. This has helped out quite a bit, greatly appreciated. Im not doing to bad for my first time....

I used the starter wire that is next to where the tach wire is there is a plug that doesn't poug into anything right there same color behide the ebrake

I remember seeing that plug now. Your saying its a starter wire ? What color ? I dont believe it was red/lt blue maybe Ill look. One more thing I didn't see any mention or pics of this relay thing I got with mine, Two big greens and a orange and yellow. I believe it must be for windows, correct.

its for the starter kill I didn't hook it up

Having issues with the starter start (nothing). Both my red/lt blues test out exactly the same ?? I also have two Acc wires the same test out the same also ? Ill look for the other plug, but the one I was thinking of is brown/black.

ill post a close up in a bit when I get home

you should only have 1 acc wire it should be gray/yellow and be in the same group of wires where your two red/lt blue wires are.my two red/lt blue wires are spliced together from when i had a breathalyzer on my truck so i just hooked the black/white wire to the red/blue there and took the purple wire to the plug it has 6 wires and is right near the group of wire that comes through the firewall behind the e brake, it is also has a red/lt blue

the light has a switch built into it, it turns on by itself when the hood is up

That's the beast. Or it's at least similar, it was a few years ago. You could hook it up with your lock output and it will roll up your windows whenever you lock the doors. Nice option.

Yea that ebay one looks identical. Got everything working except motor wont die when you shut it down. What wire was it that needs to be hooked up to kill the motor when you step on brake ? I remember Op having this issue but its been edited. I swear it was the YELLOW wire tapped into PINK gen 1.

brake is brown to lt green.you have to have the door closed before you hit the brake to kill the motor.i dont understand what you are asking with the second part of your question
