Hi all,

I'm planning on doing the rear brake rotors and pads this weekend on my 97 XLT and was just wondering if I needed to purchase a special kind of pad for slotted rotors. I was planning on getting some Powerslot rotors, but I read in some catalogs that I needed a "semi-metallic, low-carbon pad" for slotted rotors. Can you guys please tell me if this is true? I was planning on getting the Performace Friction Carbon Metallics from Autozone.

Thanks in advance!
Chris

i am running the Performance Friction pads on the Powerslot rotors. works great. got about 8k miles on the rear so far.

Thanks James,

It looks like I'll be going with this combo!
