Well whatever you decide to do, just keep the vehicles out of it if you're smart, because what goes around comes around and if you think the damage to your truck is gonna stop when you go damage other cars, you are wrong. Carma will get you even if he doesnt, take it from a 30 year old who knows, I did some bad shi* and I payed for all of it 10 fold..........

Glad that lady didnt hit the clueless biker and nobody was hurt.

I had some kid follwing me on the highway a little too close a few weeks ago and sure enough we had to come to a panic stop, I stopped with about 18" between me and the Blazer in front of me (4 wheel discs on a BII = stops good) but the kid behind me in the MItsubishi Galant wasnt so lucky. Ended up with his hood about 8"under my rear tube bumper and my rear tires about 3" off the ground. I thinkk he scratched some paint off the bottom side of my bumper and maybe made a little scuff on my gas tank skid plate (BII remember) but his Galant didnt fair too well....that was before I lifted the back another 2"........we pulled over, I looked at my truck and said, sorry about your car, have a nice day.....

Poor kid needs a new hood and grill, moral of the story? There isnt one, just be careful and dont ride too close unless your car likes big metal bumpers.....

Anyways.......before this turned into an arguement of maturity someone was saying about better alarms, and that shocker one...

I couldnt find it now its too old but I was showed of an alarm that has a tube coming out under the driver and passenger door that works like a flame thrower, and believe me these are biiiiiig flames and it nukes the guy/girl who was trying to break into your car.
Sure it most likely isnt in production i think it was somebody who was a little pissed off about stuff done to their car and desided to cook some a*sholes next time they tried it.

i'd just like to add that keying a car can be a FELONY if the damage is great enough. I know when my truck was keyed the estimate for repair qualified it as such in minnesota, so this is no laughing matter. i would recommend keeping that in mind before taking action.

I've thought the same way u have roadenforcer, nothing has ever actualy happened to my X, but of course i've thought about it a lot because i'm scared of all the dumb/jealous kids out there that just like to mess up other peoples stuff because they cant have it. However, i always come back to thinking it wouldnt be good to do stuff back to their cars, because for 1 thing usually the punks that do this stuff have crappy cars and wouldnt even notice the key mark, and 2, u know for sure they will come back and possibly do some real serious damage like slashing tires, smashing windows, doors, and ur hood or something.. Its just not worth it in the end. If your that big tho i just say knock him out

Ok, sorry it took me so long. Here is the details on my alarm.

$Cost - Part
429.99 - Clifford AvantGuard 4 brain
Included in AvantGuard 4 are BlackJax,
Dual Point AutoImmobilization,
Self-Powered SmartSiren 4
Digital Tilt/Motion Sensor,
NightVision and more.

79.99 - Directed Dual-Zone
79.99 - Directed Dual-Zone
39.99 - Diredted Ford Fac Alarm Bypass
14.99 - Directed Mini Piezo (160 db Mounted inside)
14.99 - Directed Mini Piezo (160 db Mounted inside)
69.99 - Directed Battery Backup Siren 520T Outside
69.99 - Directed Battery Backup Siren 520T Outside
69.99 - Directed Mechanical Hood Lock
29.99 - Directed Window Relay
29.99 - Directed Window Relay (Sunroof)

I think that is everything. All installed by the great guys at Best Buy. The two Piezo sirens are mounted inside and cause Pain, they are actually made to cause Pain.

The other two battery backed up sirens will not stop once they start even if you cut the wire off at the siren it will not stop. They have a recharable battery built into them. One is in the front bumper area completly unaccessable with out taking the front bumper clip off. The other is mounted in the back under the spare tire and can not be accessed with out dropping the tire. The whole thing is very loud. I love when I get gas or something and my girl is sitting in the X I will arm it and she jumps through the roof! LOL

The tow dual zone motion sensors are mounted one under radio area and they other in the rear doom light housing. When someone walks up to or too close to the outside of the truck in chips like 6 times. If they don't back up it chips and like a longer chip/screems a couple times. Then if they don't back up the bells and whistles go off. It also allows me to leave the sunroof open or windows down. If you reach in the alarm goes off instantly.

The window and sunroof modules allow me to crack the windows two inch's or open all the way. Also in the alarm goes off the windows and sunroof close.

Black Jax will allow the car to drive for a about 1/2 mile then shuts down and the alarm sounds. It isn't going anywhere.

The long range antenna is great! I can start my X open/close the windows and sunroof from my desk that is 3rd floor and across the street from the parking lot.

The only thing I wish I had was some kind of notification that my alarm was going off if I can't hear it. I know that make those but I couldn't get my discount on that brand so Oh well I guess this will have to do. ;)

So how much total do you have into the alarm? Was it $430 or $430 plus all the other stuff?

That sounds like you have quite the setup, and I might do something similar with my next X.

A grand for the system........ DAMNNNNNNNNNN (thats if the alarm was just 420 and all those other things werent included) Wow that would be a few paychecks....... The thing I like the most is the blackjack thing... even though they would prob just steal my system.

Yes, none of those parts were included they were all separate. Those are retail prices, what you would pay if you walked into the local shop and asked for it. Don't forget I have the employee hookup and can get everything so cheep it's unbelevable!:bounce: I think that the price I paid was less then half of retail.

hmmm, maybe I need to go apply at best buy then :D

I tell you what, I work about 4-12 hours a month just for the discount. Everything at 5% above cost saves me more than I make doing the job it's self. Not to mention I have over 400 dvd's.

Matt you wanna hook a fellow black 2k1 sport up??!?!????!?!??!!??!?! :D

I have no alarm at all. Whats the point seriously if someone wants to get in they will! Just have insurance and lock your doors. I dont really have to worry to much here in Arkansaw hehe.

yeah if I lived in montana I wouldnt worry but I live near some shady places.

Lets all do a group buy through black magic. :D

Well honestly I love everything there that you have, Just wondering what I could get it for so I can start saving up my money man. You think they would let you hook someone else up? Thanks a lot Matt.

I tell everyone what. I work tonight. I will look up some prices and for a few select indevidules I can get a Security System with accessories. I would love to hook up with someone who can get me some kind of Hookup on things like:

Mountain Bike stuff
Auto accessories
Wheels and Tires
Anything else you can think of let me know what you can get.
