Thought I would try and contribute something. Last week my Driver door Ajar light came on, double alarm beeps when locking and dome lights staying on.
I used a screwdriver and tripped the latch to mirror the door being closed. Found that the movement of the door back and forth would trigger the light on the dash. Started simple with moving the rubber boot between the door and the body. I could get the light to go off by moving it. Removed the door panel and pushed the boot into the door so I could see the wiring. Had to remove the tape to expose the wiring. I have no manual so needed to go wire by wire until I found the problem. The Green wire with the Black stripe was the one that caused the problem. The insulation was intact, the wire and been ran in such a way it pinched it and eventually separated causing an open circuit. I cut the wire and spliced it back together. No more Door Ajar.
Do not forget to unset the door latch before shutting the door.
