Door lock problem

I have a 98 E/B that i'm having lock problems with. All the doors lock with the buttons in the front doors, remotes and by pushing the 7/8, 9/0 buttons on the door but will not unlock any of the doors. Could this be the module in the back? What should I be looking for.

You need to press your 5 digit code plus I believe 1 to unlock all the doors.. The code can be found on your driver's side rear compartment on the RAP module

I should have stated that the system worked fine up untill a few months ago, including the touch pad. I know the code and have used it many a time in the past, its just now I can't unlock it with any of the option except the key itself.
Plus it the 5 didget code + 3/4 on the touch pad.
