I have been wanting tube doors for my truck. But i have to take off my doors to do so. I was wondering exactly how do you take off the doors on a second gen XLT?

10mm socket for the wire harness on the drivers side, 13mm wrench for the hinges, and a buddy to hold the door up. Shouldn't take you even 10 minutes. It is just 5 bolts counting the wire harness.

Thanks! I saw all of the bolts. But I didn't know what to do with the wiring. The harness is that black cilender shaped thing right I just couldnt figure that part out? My buddy wants to try and make the wires quick disconnects.

There is a bolt that goes down through that harness. You use a 10mm socket to remove it.. You access the bolt by popping off a little black plug on the top of the harness. Then, to remove the harness that is left sticking out the door, you have to pull back the carpet, take off the kick panel, and pull off the lower part of the dash. You should be able to reach all the plugs then.
