Weatherstrip replacement

In Al's post on replacing weatherstripping, he noted simply "loosening the trim but not removing". Is there any trick to the "loosening" of this trim (99 Explorer-Front door)? Al's photo makes it look easy, but I'm afraid to pull all that hard on the trim itself for fear of breaking. Is there a trick to this "easy loosening"?

Thanks!

The hardest is going to be the rear vertical edge of the front door, and the vertical/c-pillar edges of the rear door. For me, it was easier to just pop the trim loose, and fit it in there then snap it back on, because the edge of the trim holds tight against the rubber weatherstrip. If you pull too much especially trying to remove the stripping, it can crack and snap off small pieces of the trim. Not worth the hassle for the few minutes it saves. Remove the coat hook and the two seatbelt retainer bolts, and you're golden for a fast replacement.

Ditto, find as 5.5mm socket which is rare, to get the coat hook screw out.

...and make it a deepwell- some of the regular ones are just a tad short. (Sig line :D)

I found a set at Harbor freight, I think the only thing I've ever used the set for are the coat hooks. :)
