drop plates and jumpin not a good combo

where would one find such hydraulic stops and to what cost, i was planin on just getting different pivot brackets and maybe new bumbstops, shes held up pretty well considering i have been jumpin like that all year atleast 2-3 times a weekend, and most the jumps have been higher and harder, this weekend was the first time i broke the hole in the diff, the first hole was when i slammed a rut in a mud pit and bent/cracked the axle beam, blew my frt drifeshaft joint and bent my radius arm
Air bump stops:

They'll make for a much more enjoyable landing also.

 you are a mad man, you wheel like me, balls to the wall, me like

i think those trucks would be a little overkill, ecspecially since i like the mud more then the air

overkill is a good thing for jumping 4500# trucks IMO.
But its cool, jump that sucker till it falls apart, I encourage this type of behavoir...

Haha that was pretty sweet. I would go SAS and look into those bumpstops. Fourwheeler magazine ran an article about some bumpstops. Jounce or somethin like that is what its called.

why SAS?
SAS good for mud yes but TTB is great for air time when setup properly

Ditto. But then again, I work for Ford. Crunch all ya' want; We'll make more. :)

I personally just want to see the results of this same jump when done in a trailblazer, S-10, or the like........Ford is so much tougher.....heck my BII hit 291K miles and i used to air it out often before I knew better.....

I'll have to agree with that. Jumping with another few hundred pounds of unsprung weight just isn't as much fun. Not that I wouldn't do it more if I had some airbumps. :D

that jump is pretty bad ass.. you guys are right its not hard to get 2ft+ of air in these babies

not very quick, considering it was a 180 degree turn to start goin up that enbankment and its not a very tall enbankment, but i needed to push it considering i was only in 2wd climbing it, i can't say i was goin faster then 15 mph at most, my EX just gets the tires off the ground so easy, takes little to no effort

makes for a good avatar!

thats what i thought

I'd like to have a Trophy Truck too, but sometimes you've just got to "run what you brung". How many front diff housings could he replace for 200k?

how many tubes of JB Weld? could i buy, LOL

I bet the Baker Explorer is likely around 200K to build too, but its also 2wd. :)

I wasnt saying dont jump unless you have one of these, I was saying look at these for ideas, and to show what bump stops are and why...

I know what Jason has into his ranger and lets jsut say its ALOT, it was getting near 60K before baker motor sports got ahold of it and chopped off the frame....
