I have aftermarket wheels, tire size 31x10.50R15LT on the 1992, for some reason the suspension is grinding the tires down quick as hell, the drivers side worse than the pass, much worse, I drove from kansas city mo, to dixon illinois today, got back and the drivers side had wires showing on the inside and the pass side was worn pretty flat on the inside of the tire, just not as bad as the drivers side, what is the issue here? If I go back to stock wheels, will the problem still be there? or is the suspension messed up? Also, I found a set of
wheels and tires off an 2003 ford explorer in excellent condition with almost brand new tires tires that are bfgoodrich rugged trail t/a 245-65-17 they will fit 2002-2007 explorer and sport trac and ranger the bolt pattern is 5 on 4.5 wheels, would these fit the 1992 without an issue, or will there be vibrating, and tread wear like my other chrome 15"s did? I just need to get this fixed, it was a daily driver and is now on jackstands. with 2 ruined tires that are less than a year old, also that was probably the farthest it has ever been in 24 hours, Any help guys is greatly appreciated!

The camber and/or toe is off specification. An alignment should either fix this or point out whats bent or damaged in teh suspension/steering system.

i had a similar problem many years ago and it turned out to be a bent frame on the used vehicle...i hope this is not your problem but i would first do as izwack mentioned, good luck...:D

God I sure hope not, I just sent a perfect 1992 to the scrap yard becaise no one wanted the parts....I would be pissed...

Will the sport trac wheels and tires I found fit up with no modding or will there be an issue there, I also currently have tje 31x10.50R 15 LT, I am wanting to go with a smaller sidewall height, not much, just a little, what would be the next few sizes down?
