easiest way to R&R 3" long lower rad hose on 98'5.0?

waterpump to pipe(oil filter adapter).
is taking off the oil filter adapter easier than the waterpump?
i got one from a local parts store and found out it absolutely has the wrong bend in it. now i have everything taken apart and waiting for monday.

yes-
loosen the oil cooler to remove that hose. Should be a 19mm, or 3/4" bolt.

so i don't even have to remove the oil cooler? just loosen it.

You should be able to just loosen it. Beware of the o-ring seal on the housing to cooler mating surface.
