To bad you are sucking hot air from engine bay and the fenderwell.

Mpg

does the cold air intake give better mileage?

What were the couplers made of? I think id replace them with black rubber then paint the pipes.

I got mine today, but I couldn't figure out how to connect the breather hose, my kit came with 2 hoses, a short (like 3") slightly larger diameter hose, and a long (like 2.5') slightly smaller diameter hose. The short hose fits over the end of the oem breather tube, but is too loose over the fitting on the intake. The long hose fits over the fitting on the intake, but theres no secure way to fasten it where the oem tube attaches. I don't know if you had the same problems, but could you show how your breather fits?

Anybody ever have any problems with water getting in there? Like offroading through large puddles or rain for that matter?

I never have.

so i'm most likely over reacting with water getting sucked up there then?

No problems whatsoever with water, solved my breather hose problem with a breather filter. Replaced with black silicone couplers from spectre, then built myself a little heatshield.

Cant say you are over reacting, I wondered the same thing myself. Have not had a problem. rokr, do you have a pic of the heatshield you made? Always looking for ideas.
