Glad to see you're getting another Explorer, and definitely glad to see you still in one piece after that accident.
I'm from Houston (although I didn't know that audio shop that screwed you) and now I live in Massachusetts. I've been to Cleveland, OH a number of times, and there's always snow there. The reason I'm mentioning it is because this Explorer is located in Cleveland, and I've noticed a much quicker deterioration in my truck since moving up north a few years ago. So much sand and salt get everywhere (to keep trucks on the roads in the winter) that the undercarriages end up looking years older than the title says. And paint jobs fade much quicker up here too (from my experience).
I know there are plenty of people who take very good care of their Explorers / vehicles up north, but I'm just giving you my $.02 for what it's worth.

Yep...stick with a southern Ex Ronnie. My '97 has minor rust issues on the undercarraige and on the bottom of all 5 doors. That's WI and NY winters for ya.

Your wheels will fit an AWD explorer. They would not fit a 4wd first gen due to the hub sticking out.
So the rim thing is no excuse hahahaha

I'm getting 14 with winter gas in extremely cold weather(which uses more gas). I hope to get around 18 once it warms up.

LOL, you guys. I can't beleive this, but truckmagic found a 2000 Limited, BLACK, in my area. Going over to look at it now. The price is definately right. Doesn't have the 5.0 either. It has a tad over 80K miles on it. Kind of high mileage. But if she is tight, who knows.

LOL, yea I did. As a matter of fact, I sent Bill an email asking him how far he was from that place yesterday. That is exactly the vehicle I am looking for minus the California Emissions. The lowest I have gotten them down to is 13K. I figure they have about 11.5 in it at tops. So they are in it for the money for sure. If I can get them down another grand, who knows.

Have you tried GetAuto.com, they have mostly dealer vehicles. Some are high, but some are low. Check the VIN number for the engine. I wanted a SOHC V6, so I looked for an "E", while I think you want the "P." Good luck,

There are not many 5.0's around for sell like I want. I want a Limited or Eddie. White is the prefered color. Tan interior is a must. Must be clean inside and out.

I found the right one, but it's in California and they want gold for it. I will not meet there price and it's hard to negotiate long distance. So right now, I am headed over to test drive the black 2000 Limited. It does have the SOHC engine though. That's not a bad thing, but it has 81k miles on it. Will see. May can get it for around 8.5k. But she better be tight. hehe Will let yall know when I get back.

I am pretty set on a 2wd. Since I already have the wheels for it. I prefer to get a Limited, but would also take another Eddie Bauer. But it has to be White for sure. If it isn't white, then I am not even interested.

That's too bad about the color...I have a mint 98 Limited 5.0 that I can sell you....but it's dk purple metallic.
