Solved EEC-IV error code 216.

got codes out the exp one is 216 Primary circuit failure - ignition coil 2 - Ignition Systems this seems involved I get proper ohms out the wells of the coil from primary to waste but I got this code with 543

some say its Edis module ive got three edis modules never noticed a change during a change the only significant change has been the crank sensor so far I have a an idle but no power and sounds like im missing a piston when I give it gas on the round the blocker its rough getting into the gas pedal sounds right

testing ohms doesn't test under load regarding coils





the other error is 543 but I got a new pump and changing the pump didn't solve any problems driving accept I have a sender now that was not operating my gage on the cluster correctly but now it is its running and very quite

543 (O) Fuel pump monitor circuit shows no power (M) (Service 556 code first if present) Fuel pump relay or battery power feed was open.

Check the coil, relay, ground, and the inertia switch. Swap the coils then see if the code transfers.

ok! its seems to be partly a relay fault ... the many times ive changed these around :/ no check engine light ! ....I havnt run the codes again or the koeo yet im looking for the finer details like hit the accelerator during koeo and such the ford multiplex test sequence ….. im running around the block with more success that is strange there counting on that relay to freshen up in the window im close wanting to get fuel pressure right so ill be back at you later thankx

think after it get up to operating temp im getting a ping or a pop so im not going to freeway test it yet might be fuel related seems still sluggish and not opening up fully

The vehicle won't run if the fuel pump relay is defective.

im looking at the fuel cutoff switch not sure if its pressure related as giving improper the fuel pump and sender is new

inertia switch responsible appears in tact anything deeper message to this 543 code

Try using a different fuel pump relay. Maybe the contacts are starting to go, and the relay is working intermittently.

You could swap the air conditioner relay to see if it's the relay or test the relay with a multimeter.

4 new relays I did switch the relays around its up and running
