has anyone done this? i have deleted them on all of my cars and trucks and wanted to do the same here. i just don't want it to make the truck run like garbage or anything with it off

Good luck fooling the DPFE

This could end up costing you a bit. EGR code will cause poor fuel economy.


I along with a few consider egr a good thing. It will cool the upper combustion chamber and make your compression ring last longer. Ever wonder why newer engines go way past the 100k mile mark?
 






CEL will always illuminate

Unless you do something sophisticated to fake out the PCM your CEL will always illuminate. The details of the EGR system has been a mystery to me in the past. I have just started investigating how it works. I've recently started a thread about it. EGR issues
 






If you figure it out let me know i am averaging 7 miles per gallonbecause after replaceing the egr valve position censor it still gives me a check engine light

If you start a new thread describing your engine, DTCs, symptoms and what you've done so far (replacements, tests, etc.) I'll be glad to try and help. That's the way I learn.
