nope
you only have 3.5" of depth to work with.

Search around the forum. You will need a 4000 CFM fan with a 3.5" mounting depth, and full shroud coverage of the radiator.

I found this.

"Ford Taurus electric fan, tested & working perfectly(see videos below). The fan has the wiring pigtail included with several inches of wiring for an easy installation. This is a popular upgrade for fox body mustangs & a lot of other cars since these fans provide a lot of airflow. There are a lot of "taurus fan install" posts on the forum that cover all the information you need to know to install these in your Mustang. This Taurus fan puts out approximately 4000cfm on high. It utilizes the same exact motor used on the Lincoln Mark VIII fans, but has smaller blades and a different blade design in comparison to the MKVIII fans. The fan is still a bit wet in the pictures from when I was wiping it off & degreasing it."

So if i could find the right Taurus to pull it out of would it work?

Just disregard the Clarence issue for the sake of this comment

Hey Corbancantread,

Your best bet is to use a dual fan from a Ford Contour/Merc Mystique. There is very little clearance in the v8 especially if you have the stock thicker radiator. I installed this fan on my mounty. It's a v6 but I test fit it on my buddy's v8 and it fits nicely. The problem with the Taurus fans is that the fan motor sits right where the original fan stud is. The dual fan unit's motors sit above and below the stud. It is also a thinner unit so no trimming is involved except to mount it. If you search electric fan conversion I have a post on one of the threads with pics. Any questions you can reply to this or PM me. I've had mine in for almost a year and have never even gotten close to overheating. It works flawlessly. You are also going to need a controller, and I can give you a link to the one I used. It's top notch, and made in the U.S.A. Heres the link to that post http://www.explorerforum.com/forums/showthread.php?t=227617&page=5
Good luck, Al
