I was sold an Imperial electric fan yesterday...the kit came with the fan, mounting hardware, and a positive and negative wire, and that's it. The guy didn't sell me anything else with it, and now we're having trouble figuring out what it's supposed to be wired into. Everything I've read on here says that I should have an adjustable thermostat and an A/C relay installed as well. Is that true? What exactly do I need to buy?

Also, once I have everything I need, what wire do I connect to? The guy at the auto store told us that the positive wire should connect into the ignition fuse wire...but we can't tell which wire goes to the ignition fuse...

Please help! I've got to get this put back together today!! Thank you!

If you're installing it aux to the stock fan then you could just put it on a manual switch via a relay. If you're replacing the stock fan you should have it on a temp switch and also a manual override to turn it on. Install the switches via relays like lights.
