This may not be the right place to post this but my ex is modified so why not. I was just doing the carbon busting thing recommended somewhere in the forums about having the engine ingest carb cleaner via a vacuum line. I was doing so and when I shut the engine off it coughed, hard and fast, and then blew one of the vacuum plugs off the vacuum tree at the rear of the upper intake manifold off shooting the same white mist coming out of my exhaust pipe straight out the vacuum tree, along with some oil, not alot of oil but enough to lightly sprinkle the engine. Did I blow a head gasket or hydrolock the engine? I didn't ingest that much very fast, or did I just create too much pressure? Can I just plug the vacuum tree back up and fire her up and be on my way? Thank you so much.

That is what I would do. I doubt you hydrolocked the engine. You probably just flooded it with cleaner. The spurt was a last attempt to continue running.

Your plugs might be fouled but it would be extremely hard to hydrolock the engine with a pint of Seafoam.

Watch out for the smoke-out when you do start it.

BTW, we need to see you at some trail runs next year.

Update:

I pulled off the intake and opened the throttle body. A bunch of the white smoke coming out the tail pipe was coming out of the upper intake manifold. Also a black liquid on the bottom of the throttle body and it's not oil. Doesn't smell like carb cleaner at all. Anything to be worried about?

Thanks guys, figured it out!

Hey albino, I didn't know you lived in Newcastle. I actually live there when I'm home from school. We should meet up sometime

I'm here.

Are you home now?

I might be camping and snow wheeling this weekend around Lake Easton (not sure about the camping brrrr! good thing Casa de Blanco has a propane heater)

Yeah I'm here for a couple more days. I'm probably going back up to school (in Bellingham so not too far) on Saturday.
