:rolleyes:Hey guys so I have to take my truck in for the ontario drive clean emissons test. I have failed previously for high NOX results. I have done some reading and people say its either a bad EGR valve or Bad DPFV valve. I'm under the hood and there seems to be no such thing? how am I going to pass if I don't have this equipment? the truck is a 2000 Ranger 4X4 4.0 XLT with A/C, Cruise, all the goodies.. anyways its just not there. I'm the origial owner of the truck so I know it was never there. Or is it not in the usual spot under the intake Manifold on the drivers side. or on the firewall. or anywhere for that matter. The guys that did the test said my truck was running "HOT" and changed my O2 sensors this did nothing. I might change the "Cat" and the plugs, and the thermostat top up the coolant but from what I have read the answer is in the DPFV or EGR.. HELP guys Help... thanks

Dave

Yeah I have checked the codes. Nothing. I have no Check engine light, I have had it in and checked at a shop and also borrowed a friends OBDII reader. but thanks for the link I have already read that entire post. I just feel like I have no EGR valve? can that be? I guess if I fail I will try for another conditional pass with a new Cat, i don't think this will help my NOX though?
