Ok, I slapped a new alternator in my navajo (the old one was causing my headlights to flicker and the voltmeter arm to go nuts) and it starts and runs like a champ.

However, when I was driving down the road it seemed like the engine dies for a second. The rpm's drop by about a grand and then just goes back to normal. This is not a frequent problem but I did just notice it today. I do known that my transmission fluid anf filter need to be changed. I'm not sure if the transmission has anything to do with it but I want to be sure.

Has anyone here ever experienced engine related problems like this?

cough ...same problem ...just posted a new thread

Probably the first thing I would do would be to pull codes just in case the computer is seeing and recording the cause. 2nd thing I might do would be to hook up an ammeter in the fuel pump circuit (usually at the inertia switch, since it is convenient) and see if the fuel pump is losing power when the engine cuts out.
