I have a 1997 Ford Explorer 5.0L V8 AWD. I have 213,000 miles on it and it still runs great - most of the time. I recently installed Torque Monster headers and just afterwards got a clogged EGR related problem I had it cleaned/replaced at the Ford dealer. Just before they did the EGR work I started to get an air noise when the engine was under load. It's almost like there is an exhaust leak but it sounds like it's right where the EGR is located behind the Upper Intake. I though the EGR declogging would take care of it but it hasn't gone away. It's bugging me hearing this sound each time the engine is even under a slight load. Any thoughts on what this could be?
