Engine swap.

Im new to the forum so Im unsure if this the right place. But I have a 1996 ford explorer 4x4 4.0 engine, I wanna know if it will fit into a 1997 eddie bauer explorer ?

Physically yes...but being a 97 EB I'm guessing it has the 4.0 SOHC and your 96 Engine should be the OHV so will require some work...to use the SOHC Engine Harness....you should be able to get away with using the 96 ECU and harness....
