Engine trouble

Like when I start my engine the rpm wont stay up the only way I can keep it from shutting off is by pumping the gas pedal does anybody know what is wrong with it?

sounds like your idle control motor, or maby your mass air flow sensor needs cleaned.
 






could it be anything else
 






Vacuum leak comes to mind. You never mentioned what motor you have. Check for any hoses that may be off, but if it is a 4.0L I'd start looking for an upper intake manifold leak first.
 






I vote IAC (idle air control) valve. That is the control for idle speed. If it is stuck closed, you won't get enough air for proper idle (it will be too low).

If you have a vac leak, you may get an uneven idle (because you have extra air in one or more intake runners), but the idle will be normal speed or higher than normal.

Search on IAC, you will find a lot of info (common issue) especially for 2nd Gen Ex.
 






um did you fix the things that were wrong with it in your other thread yet?

Is the check engine light on?
 






when i did my body lift, the same thing happened, and it turned out to be a vacuum hose popped off
