- 87 Bronco 2 2.9L v6
i have a 87 Bronco 2 3.9L V6 it was ildling rough getting down close to 500 rpms when normal rpms should be 850, so i replaced the distributor cap and rotor, the in line fuel filter and the second high pressure fuel pump mounted to the rail.
After i got these things in it would not start, trying to figure it out and asking several people i spent like 2 or 3 days trying to work on the problem going to the ford dealership getting a fuel pump relay, and a eec relay, just today i noticed that one of the plugs from the alternator was unpluged i thought that this must have happened when putting in the distributor cap because it was a ***** putting it in, took me about a day to do it, i have yet to try and start it after making this discovery because the battery is dead and their is no one around to give me a jump but also this whole thing is really mentaly draining i have spent about 2 weeks on it, so im going to try again in the morning, i just want to some people opinions first incase i maybe over looking something.
thank you for your time
