2001 Ford Explorer
Hi Guys,
New here, I have a 2001 Ford Explorer, have starting problems in the morning, went to local ford garage and they have said it is the EVAP, they can't get hold of the part so was wondering if anyone on here knows anywhere in the UK I can get hold of one or if anyone would be able to ship one over?

Much appreciated

Alex

Welcome Alex.
Generally an EVAP problem won't cause hard starting.
Do you have a MIL light on, or an EVAP code?

Hard starting, in the absence of a code can be caused
by a faulty fuel pump, among other things....

Right, can you be more specific as to starting problem? A tune-up may be indicated here. Vacuum leaks can be determined via a smoke test also.

The "EVAP" is a bunch of parts, not one. You need to find out what part is supposedly bad.

If you are having trouble starting it, try removing the fuel filler cap -- is there a rush of air into the tank? And does it then start OK?
