I had saved this Ebay auction in the hopes of finding another. Just out of curiousity has anyone ever seen one of these and what did you think. If you've never seen one then what do you think as well.
here is a link to the auction for info and also a pic of the altimeter/inclinometer Auction
Wow good thing I waited. I just called a few local salvage yards and they have them.. The yard that knows me best said they had like 7 88-9? montero's. New exactly what I was looking for $20. So I'm swinging by on my way home to pick it up and it was also grey...sweet. The one on Ebay sold for $90 plus shipping.
Well I think it is a good addition for a newbie 4x4er. It will take a while to learn the capabilities of my lifted Explorer. It may be able to handle a 25 degree pitch or roll, but I may think that 20 degrees is too much. Besides it will help me to assess the steepnes of things. I just think it won't hurt to have it until I am far more experienced.
Heck maybe I could wire up a warning device like they have in airplanes to warn me when my ass end is about to pass my front end. hahahaha
*warning...warning excessive pitch....you're about to roll A$$Hole* LOL!
Well I tell ya what my co-worker in the next room is a Retired Air Force Colonel. I told him my idea and he said jokingly "I can get the for ya, but you will also be required to mount 2 Airplane landing lights and 50 cal gun!" Weeeeee Could be fun!!!!

If you do that, I want not only a picture of it, but an audio recording too lol:
Oh yeah, now I can see it. Out on the trail with a bunch of others and this comes across the CB,
" *sqeulch**** Hey Kurt come on up to the front we've got a tree blocking the trail. Can ya use that big damn gun to clear the way?? Later we are going to need you to light up this big field so we can spotlight some game to shoot!!!"
Do the ones in the Montero's come with an altimeter? I think the roll over is cool, but I'd like to have the altimeter... i'm just wierd and like to know stuff like that.
