Has anyone tried to replace an exhaust manifold on a 5.0L before? Mine is leaking and I ordered one but am a little hesitant because of the rusty bolts and nuts.

You will be fine.
I have never had one break on me.

What side is this? (assume passenger)

Have you confirmed the manifold is cracked? The leak could just be loose bolts or a bad gasket.

Start spraying the bolts with penetrating oil now.

It is fairly easy
I'm assuming it is the passenger side?
The manifold to downtube connection is a beeeatch unless you have an air ratchet and 3" extension
If you don't have, get one
Jack up the front, remove tire( on side at a time)
remove inner fenderwell
You will need a 1 1/16" open end wrench for the egr tube
number the plug wires and pull, remove spark plugs
now you can get to header fairly easy
Remove air intake and remove header from top
use new bolts for headers, old downtube bolts are ok

It is the passenger side. I had a garage tell me it was cracked upon state insp. Plus I have a ticking noise when accelerating from that side. Its funny you mention that jtsmith, I just replaced the EGR tube 2 days ago. It broke off at the bolt on the manifold. I assumed that would fix it but I still have a noise. I had a hell of a time getting the nut out of the EGR valve. I ended up removing the TB to get a better position.
