i have a 40 series NON-Delta Flowmaster, and i dont' feel i'm getting enough noise from it, hehehehehe

The picture doesnt work, but having the exhaust exit before the back of the cab is dangerous. Also, I've heard it will make that wheel turn green.

ahh that sucks

just wondering it seemed like a good idea at the timet

thanks

It's also illegal on a fully enclosed SUV.

Yes the law on this says that the exhaust must exit behind the rearmost of the passenger cab, in the Explorer's case this is the very back, behind the rear wheels.
Would you get pulled over for it? who knows.......

Troll had his like that for a while. I doubt he got pulled over because I'm sure the cops know the cant catch the Troll.

Nobody can outrun radio.....

True.

I dont think you would have any problems unless you gave the cops some other reason to pull you over. A friend of mine is a state trooper and he said that he highly doubts that I will ever be pulled over for my exhaust or tint because it doesnt sound like a bumble bee. He also said, if I pulled some crazy move and got pulled over, they would most likely give me a hard time about the tints and if they were having a bad day, the exhaust too. Unlike most of the people around me, just because I drive something nice or "hooked up" doesnt mean I break every law in the book.

Well hey, I put this thing called a "Tornado" into the air intake on my truck and now I can outrun radio..

:p

naw
cops around my area are dare i say quite cool..
so even if did do it i wouldn't get any troubles from the law.

they most likley wont fine you... just tell you to change it.

why do they have laws like this? yea yea...exhaust could get into the cabin.....so what....more exhaust gets in my car from all the other POS cars out there that i sit behind....oh well thats life

People say its illegal. Like anything what they say and what can be done are different. I've passed CA smog since i did this setup. It has been 5 years. My setup is cats then right into the Flow 40 series and then about a foot of pipe under the frame to exit out the side. I used 2.25 pipe. That is plenty noisy for me. Driver side is not bad. Little louder on the passenger side for obvious reasons.

And the leaf springs cause a big problem. When I got my exhaust done he said he'd do it if thosedamn things weren't in the way. Legality shouldn't be an issue, look at the exhaust on a SALEEN mustang some time.

Mines goes before the spring hanger. I'll try and get a pic.

yeah what about those later 90's F150's that had the exhaust exit before the rear wheel? they came stock that way.
