Anyone know where i can find / order a GOOD QUALITY exhaust Y pipe...ya know the ones that have a controler in the cab so you could have two exhuast pipes going, and control which one recives the engine flow at the pull of a switch.....anyone know what im talking about? I saw it in a catalogue. I was gonna keep a stock exhaust on a car then connect the Y pipe after the cat and do a modified exhause, and switch which one i wanted to be running whenever i wanted......HELP ME PLEASE!~~~~~ thanks

Exhaust cut-out?

I believe you're asking about an exhaust cut-out, Kial.
Look in Jeg's or a Summit catalog, you should find it in one of these.
It isn't really for what you're asking, but you can make it work.
A Y-pipe is for bringing the two exhaust banks together into one exhaust pipe.

I think it is also called a 'dump'. Or maybe that's just a term us 'good-ole-boys' use.

I Think JC.Whitney sells them.

I think i found it, i went to the Jegs.com site and under exhuast>accessories>the Mr. Gasket Exhaust Cut out there was a picture and it looked right....Ill check out JC whitney. thank you.

Goober

Yes, also referred to as dumps.

The coolest ones I saw were the ones they were going to put on the GTO from the factory. They had a pull switch right on the dash to activate the cutouts, but were dropped real quick because of the image they portrayed(Hot Rodders, Bad Boys, etc.).

Be careful with cut-outs as you might lose all your backpressure and thus your torque. To be on the safe side, install the cut out after the cats and route a pipe out to the side of the truck. That way you're legal, too.
