No Mounty no more.
I am looking to do a cat back exhaust in a couple of months and I'm most likely going to go with a Flowmaster Delta 40.
I have the 5.0
Here is the questions I have.
1. Do I need an offset inlet or center inlet? From just looking under my Mounty it looks like I would need the center inlet.
2. On the 5.0 is the pipe 2 1/4" or 2 1/2"?
3. If the pipe is 2 1/4" can I go with 2 1/2" from the cat back with out sacrificing torque?
Thank You in advance for the help.

Regarding #3. With a 5.0, and single pipe, you could go with a 3" pipe and not lose any torque. 2.5" is ideal for a single out V6. 2" is stock for a V6. Not sure what is stock for a 302. Go with a 3" single out and you'll be fine.

how are you gonna install a single flow 40? the 40s only come in a single inlet, and i believe all 5.0 have the dual inlet, single outlet stock. you have to go for the 50 with a dual in single out. if you want to use the 40, you have to go true duals and install two of them.

I plan on having the muffler shop weld in a Y adapter to the single inlet 40. I don't like the sound of the 50 series.

i have a 5.0 with a Y adapter going into a 40 series flowmaster.
but going with adapter instead of tru duals, or a dual in single out series 50, you will lose power.
