I would say NO differance. The Navajo was bilt on the same line, and really the only differance is the grill, headlights, tailights and badging. The truck says Ford everywhere else. In fact I'll bet the Navjo computer has a ford part number:D

I read it to say he used a 92 manual ecm in a 93 auto to manual converted truck.

You would need a manual ecm to match the year of harness you have in your truck.

one thing to check right quick --the pins on the main ecm harness should match the ecm. While the plug "looks" the same there are several pin configurations of 93. been there

What is the 4 digit code on your "new" ecm?

my truck is a 93. the old manual ecm came from the same truck as the trans did. witch was a 92 and works fine in my truck now. was at pic n pull today and saw this so i grabbed it thinking it would work better. but it doesn't really work at all lol. so i guess my 93 explorer must be an early 93 with batch fire?

i thought that you could just swap the ecm for more power?

and where is the code?

I can tell you how to tell--
batch fire injection uses a harness with tan and white wires on all injectors.
Tan for bank one, white for bank 2. all grounds are black-light green

sequential fire has multi colored wires to the injectors-coding them individually.

The ECM code is on the label near the connector. it is the 4 character sequence, usually the largest font on the label, top center.

The one I have is coded "ONEO" and should be a sequential fire with egr

can the pins be moved to make it work?

That is a rut I wouldn;t get into-
I just went behind someone who gave it a heck of an effort, but to be honest the differences are very complicated

for example, think of the injectors--compare it to a sound system

the batch fire is like 6 speaker wired up to 2 channels--3 on each channel in parallel, The ecm is 2 channel

where the sequential fire is like a true 6 channel surround, with each channel having it's own amplifier in the 6 channel ecm
The injector harness would definitely need to be changed, if you could work out the wiring at the ecm

You'll find all the info. You will find the different ecm wiring configurations, and, the wiring for each pin --keep a heads up because you might think you are looking at the right one and get bit. be sure to look them over well

Thanks go to Fixxxer for putting the info in his signature

thanks for all the info! :)

looks like I'm going back to pic n pull for the wire harness :)
