i am guessing the 5.4 out of a early-mid 90s (94ish) f-150 lightning?....it was a 5.4 right?

I do beleive they had N/A 351 windsors but i could be wrong.

If it is a 351, you are talking A LOT of work!!! First, it will be real hard to fit in there. VonZipper is the only person here that I know of with a 351 in an X. It isn't just gonna slide under the hood. Second, I would assume it is EEC-IV, while you rig is EEC-V, so you are talking about A LOT of custom wiring to make it work.

It can be done (anything can), but it is A LOT of custom work there!

Why? Besides to be different? For what you'll spend you can build a 5.0 much easier with as much power if not more... Seems like alot more work than it's worth..

I second that. A 302 would be a much better choice, you could stroke it, and it would be capable of much more power.

Much easier to stick a 347 in there, unless you have welding skills, your own shop, and are gonna do most of it yourself.

Damn I was hoping to see a 4.6L SC project, hehehehe.

Any engine conversion is going to be alot of work into a Gen I, the 5.0L is the easiest of the V8's because of the size and reserach and parts avail, but dont let that stop you!
I have seen a 460 in a BII, so it will fit, its just how much truck is left when you are done :)

uncharted water = fun & frustrating at the same time!!
