Factory Nerf Bars

First time poster here. I'm looking for a place to buy the factory nerf bars that came on my 2000 XLT 4 door. I like the look of the factory ones better than any of the after market ones I've found but I can't seem to find them anywhere except my local dealership and I'm not paying what they want for them. The ones on there now are rusting at all the joints for some reason and I'm hoping to replace them. I'm needing the grey or platinum or whatever color Ford calls it. If someone could point me in the right direction I would greatly appreciate it.

I just got a new pair off ebay a few months ago. Keep an eye out, and theyll pop up, and you should be able to get a very good deal (I paid like 140 shipped). By the way, that rust is extremely common. Good luck.

Are you talking about the running boards. I will be selling my platinum ones when they come off. They are perfect

i think he is talking about the factory nerf bars that came on 99-01 XLT sports and some XLS's

Ya I'm talking about the tubular nerf bars but mine is a 4 door not a sport. I think they are around 75" long and the ones on the sport are around 65" give or take.

Your right, they are longer on the 4 door. Also, be aware that all you need is the boards themselves, and not any brackets, unless your brackets are rusting out too (they werent on mine). Like I said, if your not in any rush, keep an eye on ebay, and youll be amazed what will pop up.

I have an extra pair and have been thinking about getting them rino lined before I install them. Any one have any experance with that? Will they still rust from the inside out?
