factory tranny cooler

are the factory tranny coolers they put in the 94 slop-o-matic trannies any good? I know i have one in there and have over 150,000 miles on my rig and am really tring to get the best life out of my tranny. I do tow a little bit with a 16'boat, i know that is not the greatest for it. I do change the tranny filter and 5 quarts of fluid once a year.

just wondering by upgraing to a newer tranny cooler help out at all, or is it just a lost cause cus the a4ld tranny just sticks. thanks for the help

you may want to look into a bigger one........

but the stock ones work fine if maintenace is up and all the fins arent smashed due to bugs or rocks.....

I would reccomebnd getting one for the A4LD....heat is its worst enemy....blowing seals is sooo common...

Get a bigger aftermarket oil cooler. Heat is bad for trannys.
