February Run

i think we are good for the 28 th, I need to put either the rear hitch or some tow hooks back there in case, but that'll only be a few minutes in the garage, so I'll be ready.

I like this qoute

"I'm cool with it as long as they don't laugh at us rookies."

i've been wheeling with them since I was a rookie. They just go out and have fun.

Sounds good to me. Meeting time/place?

For directions use wwww.mapblast.com with
23961 N.E. State Route 3 Belfair WA 98528
as the ending address. This is the safeway in Belfair it seems to be a popular meeting place for this type of thing.
How does 10 AM sound to everyone?
The more the better, I thought the samuris' I saw last time at tahuya were pretty cool.
Joe

10 Am sounds great. Does anyone have a clue how long it takes to get there from seattle, and how long the ferry ride is? And a day or two before we should all let each other know whether or not we are still going for sure....

I typed it in and got a hour and a half estimated drive time, but the map tok me all the way down and around rather than using the ferry which would be preferable.
Those of us that need to cross over on the ferry should meet up at the ferry doc at a particular time to kinda eliminate any straglers on the second boat.

Secondly, we should get a list going to confirm who all is going to come:

1. SnowExploder
2. Dreamr +2 (partner and daughter)
3. jrgaylor
4. Siekyre??
5. Bmotox + a couple friends??
6. Albino 94LTD +2 (wife and son)??
7. Diffwhackdaddy??

Hmm anybody else?

I'm going to have at least one other person with me and maybe more. Most likely only one vehicle, but maybe 2...
And I agree with us ferry takers meeting somewhere on this side, thats a good idea.

In case you haven't seen it yet, I found this page useful...

There are two ferries from Coleman dock downtown, one at 7:35 and one at 8:45, it is a 60 minute boat ride so if we take the 8:45 boat, we wouldn't be in Belfair by 10:00 but i'm sure the others will wait and extra 15-20 mintues?

Cost; car/driver $9.5
passenger $4.40
childern under 5 and pets are free
(son and dog) no wife

Suggested to arrive 15-30 minutes prior to sailing time (8:15-8:30):D

Either time works for me, I'm pretty flexible. If we take the 8:45 ferry we'll be there approx 10:15/10:30 ish, and if we take the 7:35 we'll be there approx 9:00/9:15ish, either way we are early or late, so I dont care. Where should we meet up on this side?

"Seattle / Bremerton Route:
Peak traffic volumes occur between 3:00 p.m. and 6:45 p.m. It is advisable for vehicle traffic to arrive 30-45 minutes ahead of the sailing. For non-peak travel, a minimum of 20 minutes in advance is suggested."

Wll, I think getting up around 7 to get to the ferry around 8:15 beats the heck out of the alternative. Though I suppose that's a matter of opinion.

Thanks for the reminder about the equipment list, I think I read that when I first found this site, but that was the last time:rolleyes:

I am missing one of the key items though. A CB. How bad is that? I really can't aford to go get one right now.

If the time needs to be changed because of the ferry I do not have a problem with 10:30-11:00.
Joe

8:45 boat

I vote for the 8:45 boat, that will make it easier to get my son in the truck

P

8:45 boat works for me, and we will meet around 10:30 and 11:00.
I don't have a CB either, and I'm not going to worry about it for this trip, I have other things i need to get instead(tow strap, tow hooks, high-lift jack, tail pipe:rolleyes: )

If you need to go buy some tow hooks, I just happen to have a set in the garage (new) that I decided not to install (F & R Hidden Hitches now). If you would like them they are yours for well ..a..a.... 5 bucks sound good?

Are they tow hooks as in the type that can be welded or bolted on? I already have a rear hitch, and what I'm planning on doing is getting two put on my front because I dont have anything up there.

They are the bolt up type. I picked them up at G.I. Joe's
I think they are Explorer Pro Comp type rated at 10,000 lbs. Let me know, I believe I bought the appropriately sized drill bit too and a bit of undercoat if ya need a hand getting them on.
Bryce

Dreamr-
Sorry it took a while for me to write back, i had to discuss that with my "other half" cause he knows more about that stuff than I do. It would be great if you wanted to sell those to me. What size drill bit is needed?
