Fedyfedz 2002 v8 limited registry!!

Had a little extra time at work today and figure id start working/putting this together. My name is Scott and Im from small town Kings Park Long Island(New York) I drive a 2002 ford explorer v8 limited. Someone let me know if im leaving any necessary information out. Just to worn you there are alot of pic's. I tried to upload them in time order as to when i took them so you can see the drastic change. I replied to many threads so i feel that a description of the images is not necessary. If you want to ask me something try searching you will probably find it or just PM me. Im addicted to doing work to my X myself even though im not a so called mechanic but i now alot and am willing to to some trial and error and searching online to find the best solutions, Im a fan of the DIY and love free mods!!

Tune up, Synthetic fluids all around, New tires, Henson tune

Long Term:Some sort of lift, electric fan, 70mm throttle body, underdrive pullies, 3.73 limited slip swap-out

Made some excellent progress on it! How's that painted grille holding up? Mine seems to be chipping an awful lot...

EDIT: And wow....I do have to say that was a lot of pictures to look through!

haha that was only half the pics i felt bad even though i could look at pics of x's all day. the grill has a few small chips in it the lower grill seems to have more. i drive alot on the highway and the bugs this summer and the trucks on the road kickin **** up im going to wait to re-paint it till after winter as to I feel the plows when they drop sand and crap is just going to make it worse.

Also baked my headlights and painted inside black i only have the pics of them taped off I will update soon with the final pics just got my camera back today you can kinda see them in the pics above....Im also getting some general grabber a/t 2 tires today!!!

no problem i have gotten alot of ideas and such from this forum, in the spring i plan on painting some more things that have faded. I have some more pics im waiting to upload as well.

thanks alot it means alot when I get positive feed back about new things ive done. The engine cover ive wanted to do for a while.

Nate: I was thinking about painting it black but i kinda like the chrome its too cold to paint anything for me now as to i do most of my work outside , the headlights are holding up mint, it changed the whole look quite a bit. it took some trial and error but the end result came absolutely amazing. I was to excited to put them back on that i didnt let the sealant do its job. ended up having some extra moisture that was quite annoying. I drilled a small hole in the bottom and got all of it out and then put some more sealant and crazy glue and now its perfect. i wish i waited and sealed it up better the first time.

i used Krylon Fusion Spray make sure its for plastic. then used a coat or two or clear coat as to you do not want to have to do it twice. and they are always in the sunlight.

and keep an eye on the headlights when u bake them in the oven. I did mine at 350 degrees for 10 minutes or so and they came apart rather easily, my friend who did the same thing in his ranger took slightly longer and he ended up spider cracking one lense casue he left it in to long.
