When braking my 2000 XLT, it feels like the ABS is activating when it slows down to 2-3 miles an hour. If I let go of the wheel, it jerks to the left a quarter turn. There are no symptoms at higher speeds. Can anyone offer suggestions on how to diagnose this? The ABS light is not on.
Thanks

i have same problem...I know what mine is...I dented my ABS tone ring last time I had rotor off.

have you had or done any work on the rotors?

Pull the fuse for the ABS and see if it still does it.

the caliper on the left is grabbing a bit, check the rotors and pads, might be close to time for new,
the fact that it is activating means it is working,,

mine pulls because just one wheel was grabbing. If you pull the fuse, be careful.

you dont wanna test it and spin...ask me how I know.

;(

Hello All,
I appreciate your suggestions. I pulled the ABS fuse located in the dash on the driver’s side. All of the symptoms went away. I take this as confirmation that it is either a sensor or a tone ring problem.
I removed the passenger side rotor last night and could not see anything wrong on that side. If I get home in time, I will remove the driver side rotor.
Thanks
