finally got me a new one

I finally got a new transmission. My brother is the one who trashed it, so he had to pay for it. My brother had an S-10 that blew a head and he was trying to sell it. A guy came by and offered to trade us a rebuilt A4LD for the S-10. We decided to trade the S-10 for the transmission. It came out of a 1991 xlt that is going under a V8 conversion. My question is.... Where is somewhere I could take it to have it put in? Will a transmission shop take a trans out and put a new one in? Any suggestions would be helpful.

Most shops will install your tranny for you, but do not expect any warranty of any kind.

how much do you think they will charge me for the installation ? how long would it take them ?

I would try Ricks Automotive on Westridge in Raytown (They are behind the old Adams Toyota on 350) Their # is 353-3777.
