I finally went out and got a "cat back" system made.

It's an 18" Magnaflow, dual 2.5" in 3" out, and it's dumped. The muffler man told me it would be pretty loud dumped so I was a little worried.

So I come back to pick it up and he says, "well, it's pretty quiet. You have too many cats." I started it up and I'm not sure if it's quiet enough to change to a 14" muffler or not.

At idle

The getaway

Rainy burn-out

I love that sound. So was this a b-day present?

Ehh.. not really. My buddy and I were leaving Taco Bell yesterday, and we passed an exhaust shop that my buddy knew the owner of. So we stopped in, ordered the muffler, and got her in.

Where is it dumped?

Right infront of the axle. I didn't want to bend any tube yet because I really want to take the BL out soon.

Sounds pretty good. I have a dual in/single out Magnaflow in the rafters of my garage. It was in my SOHC for about 3 weeks before I swapped out to a Flowmaster. I was going to put the Magnaflow in the V8 Eddie, but was afraid it would be too loud. How is yours in the cab?

I love the sound of magnaflows, they only drone you out in the cab at 3000+ rpm, so its not overly noticable until you step on it.

Yeah even at 80 You're lower than 3k

Well, I'll tell you. On a scale of 1 - 10, 10 being it is too quiet and warrants a change, this would be a 9. I am pretty close to going with the 14" Magnaflow.

I may try going with a custom headers-back, one or two high flow cat, system. He really wants to build me one so I might just let him. :D

That magna flow sounds great but it is to quiet go with the 14" or get rid of a cat

I think its too quiet. Change it out for the 14". Go for the full header back exhaust, too. :D

I outgrew loud exhausts long ago. Sounded great to me. :p

I have the 14" on my 4.7 and it sounds mean as hell, I love it. It is dumped just behind the rear axle and does not sound too loud at all, just perfect for me and it never drones.
