This might help as well. Keep in mind this system fires two cylinders simultaneously. One on the compression stroke and one on the exhaust stroke.

Your truck should have ran like crap. I'm amazed that it made no change changing the wires around.

Thanks, just brought my 92 home from shop. Was running rough, shop said it needed new wires, I figured I'd do them and save $100.
Replaced them as the old ones were installed, still rough, because 45&6 are wrong 🙄. Will fix it in the morning.

Hey, I know this is an older thread, but did swapping the injectors take care of the problem? Having the same issue. Ive replaced everything critical accept the MAF, injectors, fuel preassure regulator, cat, oxygen sensor and the computer at this point. No codes or CEL. Ran through all possible vacuume leaks multiple times. Sitting for 8 years, it needed a pretty full upgrade anyhow though. But, got a rough idle... drives just fine. Won't pass CA smog test due to high hydrocarbon reading.. If I hold it at 3000k rpm, I do note the needle dancing still though. Lmk, thanx!

Injectors made a substantial difference but my rough idle continued I've replaced everything only thing I can mock it up to be is compression issue I got 120PSI on my lowest cylinder and 140psi on my highest I'd do a compression test on yours before spending more money and time on unnecessary repairs, don't load up the parts cannon like I did, I should get the truck back next week some time I'll let u know if it's running well, if it ain't I don't know what to really do anymore
