Is there a 40 series that will fit on a 1998 xlt? Since its duel inlet I want to have a single outlet. Don't want a 50 series.

Maybe get a "Y" from Summit Racing Equipment?

And connect em right before where the convertor is now? And is there any outstanding differences between having a single and duel outlet?

I would cut the pipes off close to the front of your muffler and attach the Y there and just go into your muffler. I think the only difference you would notice with a dual over a single outlet is more noise. It might have a little better flow, but in my opinion it wouldnt be worth the extra $ for the pipes unless you want the look of duals

Found a Y converter. Keeping the one I have which is 1 in 1 out 40 series.
